The Hiawatha Animal Humane Society is a locally based animal rescue group. We occasionally will receive a “farm” cat that needs to be placed in a new home. This is a cat that has spent most of its life outdoors and will not be suited to an indoor environment with lots of human interaction. Be assured, we are not talking about wild or feral cats.
We are looking for rural homes where a cat could live a peaceful life with some measure of protection from the elements, food and some human interaction to make sure of its well-being. The cat will be spayed/neutered and negative for feline leukemia and FIV... It will also be
up-to-date on all immunizations before leaving our care. There will be NO ADOPTION charge for this animal.
